简介: 2.5亿年前，地球看起来好像来自另一个太阳系。在那时，我们今天所知的各大陆连接在一起，被称为盘古大陆，其四面被无边无际的原始海洋所包围着。但大约2亿年前，这片超级大陆开始分裂，出现了新的海洋、盆地和高耸入云的群山。又过了数百万年，剩余的陆地最终分裂为七块新的大陆，每一个都独具特色，这就是我们现在的七大洲。《大陆起源》汇集所有相关资料，利用最先进的电脑影像技术，把从盘古大陆分裂而来的几个大陆重新拼凑在一起，揭秘了每个大陆跌宕起伏的故事，以及每个大陆都如此独特的原因。通过壮观的空中拍摄，该片揭示出壮观的地形地貌是由于超级大陆的分裂，以及分裂后大陆与大陆之间撞击而形成的。水中镜头则显示出海洋的美景，这里的生物最具多样性，另外还有在极其黑暗的大海深处冒烟的火山。
