海上救难

简介: 1991年，载有1百万桶石油的「避风港号」(Haven)在海上起火爆炸，然后失控连烧3天。这艘严重腐蚀的船目前在地中海底，对环境造成极大的威胁，船上剩余的石油也可能外漏。救难人员必须运用先进的潜水技术抽干船上的石油。一名菜鸟潜水员不幸在进行初步调查作业时，罹患减压症 (decompression sickness)。海难救助团队的高手利用高科技饱和潜水系统(saturation diving system)，帮助身体适应高压环境，另外还使用加压潜水钟(pressurised diving bell)将潜水员送至残骸。潜水钟和饱和潜水系统必须是气密的，否则里头的潜水员可能会丧命。救难船上的储藏室虽经历一场火灾，但救难人员依旧毫无畏惧地展开任务，将「避风港号」的船长室封死，并安装管路以便抽出石油。
