简介: 胶东小县，依山傍海，交通要道，商贾云集。水道婆的丈夫水道嗜赌丧命，给她留下了磨坊，也留下了未成年的儿子小舜。水道婆巡视磨坊，爱不释手。自从嫁到水道家，她的生命早已和磨坊融为一体。这个产业是水道的爷爷创下的，远近闻名。水道迷上赌博以后，水道的父亲一气而亡，临死前泪汪汪嘱咐水道婆把家业撑下去。如今，儿子小舜对磨坊并无兴趣，只想做个车把式。鞭子一响，千里万里。他劝母亲放手，他相信自己能够养活妈妈。号称胶东第一包子铺的掌柜王老板找来，表示愿兑下磨坊，帮助水道婆度过难关。水师营的粮草官白军需也早就看上了水道婆，索性自己作媒，前来提亲。他要水道婆干脆拿磨坊当陪嫁，跟他过舒心日子。水道婆是离开这伤心地，还是重整旗鼓？
