简介: 柳东是一间不景气的汽修厂工人，工厂开不出工资，生活举步维艰。因为帮助了一个记者让自己在报上变成了身患绝症的服刑人员；想买报纸却使报贩葬身车轮造成自己极度内疚；帮财务去领全厂职工的工资不慎遗失；追求报贩遗孀洪雨被拒绝；自己工作的汽车修理厂倒闭；做小买卖被骗入不敷出；出租房屋引来了麻烦的女房客张小云。生活虽然惨淡，但柳东依旧乐观，处处帮助比他更弱小更不幸的人：他在生活极其困难的条件下收养了流浪儿鱼儿；照料洪雨的儿子小蜂；试图帮助远在国外的弟弟。人间自有真情，好心终有好报。所有被柳东帮助过的人一起伸出援助之手，帮助柳东找到了一份清洁工的稳定工作，并促使他和张小云走到一起，有情人终成眷属。
