简介: 保护证人组督察许玮琛奉命保护受袭的名人乔江河，他是“商场魔术手”乔江山的胞弟。乔江河得罪了沈阳有势力人士熊飞，招致杀身之祸。于是警方建议他接受保护证人组的保护，因此，许玮琛认识了乔江河的侄女乔子琳。乔子琳性格怪僻，对人冷漠，甚至有点不近人情，许玮琛和队员都认为乔子琳是被宠坏的富家千金，对周遭的人和事都不闻不问。在保护乔家安全的日子里，许玮琛曾不顾危险，多次以身犯险救过乔子琳，乔子琳对许玮琛暗生好感，更不理乔江山的反对，主动展开追求。乔江山眼见女儿变得开朗主动，逐渐软化默许，但一个三十年前的故人突然回来，引发了一场有关乔氏兄弟之间不为人知的秘密，此事令许玮琛陷于困局，挣扎于公义及爱情之间。
