简介: 第二次国共合作期间，民主人士童霜威在经历爱情挫折和敌人陷害后被迫流亡到香港，但没想到香港同样是生死存亡的角斗场，在汪伪和敌人的威逼下童霜威不得已借助地下党帮助悄悄潜回上海。在上海，童霜威看清了汪精卫伪政权和蒋介石软弱的政府，毅然帮助地下党活动，被敌人恐吓以及利诱后依旧视死如归，大大激励了他儿子童家霆的抗日救国之心。来到重庆后，童家霆得知爱人欧阳素心牺牲后痛定思痛，毅然投身到新闻行列并立志救国到底，并在一次行动中意外遇到了自己母亲柳苇。然而柳苇却在童家霆被特务追杀时替他挡住了罪恶的子弹。父子二人最终认识到，只有共产党才能救中国的真理，和全国人民一道融入了抗日的洪流之中。
