简介: 1949年3月25日，毛泽东和中共中央进驻北京的香山双清别墅，开始筹备建国。国民党政府和蒋介石提出谈判，却并无诚意，意图以谈判拖延时间，整军备战，毛泽东一边真诚谈判，一边做好了打过长江去的准备。果然，和平谈判破裂了，毛泽东指挥百万雄师渡过长江，开始了解放全中国的大进军。同时，毛泽东也在香山广泛会见各界民主人士，共同探讨协商建国的方方面面，其中尤其以开导说服柳亚子的故事为佳话。随着各个城市的不断解放，如何接收大城市又成了新课题，毛泽东细心研究经济问题，派刘少奇去天津与工商业代表共商繁荣商业的办法。就这样，毛泽东和他的战友们解决着一个又一个前所未有的问题，搭建起新中国轮廓。1949年10月1日毛泽东登上天安门城楼，向全世界宣布中华人民共和国成立了。
