简介: 卡斯提洛是个单亲妈妈带着女儿艾莉丝在伦敦生活，三个月欠缴房租的母女俩已经无法拥有一个安稳的家。她们熟练地收拾着重要的东西，潇洒地面对拿着电锯驱逐她们的警察，把东西扔在洗衣店后心照不宣地逃单出租车，面对这样的情况两人早已习以为常。卡斯提洛从文学系毕业后怀抱着作家梦但没有一部出版的作品，而现在她只能靠着在红灯区跳脱衣舞以及朋友塞尔比的救济生活。塞尔比有着严重的暴力倾向刚从监狱服刑完，虽不缺钱花但他却从未得到母亲的关爱，因此更不懂如何表达爱，更害怕失去爱的人，对他来说最重要的就是自己选择的家人：卡斯提洛和艾莉丝。三个人组成了处于社会边缘的落魄家庭，不断被现实打击的他们不断受挫，而他们也不惜一切地努力去挣脱，让自己和爱的人变得更好。
