简介: 椰林镇恶霸南霸天看中了农民吴家地基建祖坟，命人晚上乔装点火烧死了吴家老小。只剩下吴家女儿吴琼花幸免于难。吴琼花立志报仇，却不幸被南霸天捉到关进土牢。南霸天贪图吴琼花的美色，逼诱吴琼花做妾，却被刚烈的吴琼花叱骂，南霸天恼羞成怒之下决定将其祭祖。带着广东省委领导密件的洪常青乔装华侨机智地骗取了南霸天的信任，偶然遇到被南霸天严刑拷打的吴琼花，用计阻止了南霸天的劣行。夜里趁机逃出土牢的吴琼花被南霸天追杀，危机时刻又一次得到了洪常青的搭救。在洪常青的指点下，她决定带着好友红莲到五指山投奔红军。
