简介: 50年代，刚刚成立的新中国只能依靠苏联发展自己的国防和经济。苗岩峰、魏可凡在苏联的军事院校国际班学习坦克专业，随着中苏关系紧张，苗岩峰和魏可凡提前结束在苏联的学习回国，分到装甲兵研究院。因工作需要，苗岩峰等人被匆忙调来北京，接受了研制第一代国产坦克的任务。经过苗岩峰等人夜以继日的工作，中国首次制造的中型坦克59式坦克参加了国庆10周年阅兵。
