简介: 该剧讲述了一个经历动荡岁月中艰难生活的中国工人家庭的故事。大女儿雅梅17岁的时候为了帮助父亲减轻生活压力，背着父亲放弃了读书的机会，到街道工厂做工。可命运偏偏和这个艰难的家庭做对，父亲由于患病撒手人寰，从此雅梅用她柔弱的肩膀挑起了抚养几个弟妹的重担。雅梅成了一家之长，白天在街道工厂里工作，晚上回家即当爹又当妈地照料四个年幼的弟妹。为了这个家，为了把弟妹们拉扯大，她把个人感情抛在了一边，拒绝了两个男人小常和小福子对她的爱。
