简介: 1965年春天，为响应中央和毛主席的重大战略决策，在国际局势日趋紧张的情况下，为加强战备，逐步改变我国生产力布局，做出由东向西转移的战略大调整，开展大三线建设。年轻气盛的夏方舟来到金江，进入专门为大三线组建的中国109冶金建设公司，投身到川滇钢铁的建设中。在这里他结识了自己的爱人秦晓丹，他们虽历经季成钢的不断挑唆和各种阴谋，但最终还是走到了一起。夏方舟的好友戚光复和陆汀兰，以及一直因为爱情追着夏方舟来到这片土地的李心梅，为了三线建设付出了宝贵的青春乃至生命。在几十年的变迁中，夏方舟以及身边的众人，来的来走的走，但他们都完美彰显了这个时代精神和力量。在岁月变迁中，他们的儿女也长大成人，投身祖国的建设中。
