简介: 故事的背景设定在上世纪八十年代。那个时候，各种电影中的英雄角色是孩子们心目中的偶像，被他们看的比什么都重要，而他们也从对偶像的信仰中找寻到自己的勇气与兴趣。主人公威尔是家中的长子，家教非常严格，从不被允许和同学们一起出去玩，或者听音乐看电视，他只能通过画画来抒发自己的心中所想。直到遇到卡特，威尔的生活才发生了翻天覆地的变化。卡特给威尔看了《第一滴血》的盗版碟，威尔就此走上了DV之路。他梦想自己能制作一部电影，并果真付诸实行。因为自制的电影，卡特和威尔成了学校的名人。但是当一个法国学校的交换生转学到这里时，两人的友谊开始面临考验……
