简介: 史蒂文·斯皮尔伯格翻拍百老汇经典音乐剧《西区故事》。《西区故事》最初是1957年首演的百老汇经典音乐剧，取材于莎士比亚的戏剧《罗密欧与朱丽叶》，故事背景设定在五十年代，纽约西区的贫民窟集中地有两个少年流氓集团，一个叫“火箭”，由白人组成，头目是里弗；一个叫“鲨鱼”，由波多黎各人组成，头头是贝尔纳尔多。两帮经常挑衅格斗，酿成流血事件。一天夜里，西区举行了一场大型舞会，两团伙间展开了一场独特的“竞赛”，里弗的好友托尼和贝尔纳尔多的妹妹玛丽亚也因此相遇，两人一见钟情。
