简介: 主要讲述了喜欢魔术的高中生黑羽快斗，在自己房间内一道隐藏的门后的密室里发现了世界闻名的大盗怪盗基德的服装。之后，身着怪盗基德服装的快斗遇见了父亲——世界知名的魔术家黑羽盗一以前的助手寺井黄之助，从他的口中得知自己的父亲正是怪盗基德，而且他并非死于意外，而是被人暗杀。为了找出杀害父亲的人，快斗决定以第二代怪盗基德的身份开始着手调查父亲真正死因。在以怪盗基德的身份活动的某日，快斗与称呼自己为“黑羽盗一”的神秘组织相遇，而该组织正是他的杀父仇人，故事也由此正式拉开帷幕。
