简介: 影片描写一个姑娘雕塑了一只狐狸，又雕塑了一个可爱的瓷娃娃。狐狸嫉妒它，引诱它到野外去玩。在风雨中，泥娃娃跑进垃圾箱里，受到垃圾的欺侮。幸好姑娘把泥娃娃拣回来，重新涂彩，烧炼成一个更漂亮更可爱不怕风吹雨打的瓷娃娃。这是一部木偶与真人合成的影片。《瓷娃娃》中各种瓷雕都是由闻名世界的瓷都景德镇的高岭土捏制，涂以高温颜色釉烧成的。有时一个动作就要烧制几个，主角瓷娃娃的不同姿态就烧制了192个。导演和动作人员用“套裁”和“代用”的方法在同一个瓷雕上拍各种动作，加上运用电影的蒙太奇手法，使不用关节的瓷娃娃不仅能动起来，能立，能走，能举手投足，而且还会唱歌跳舞。这在中国美术电影史上是一次新的探索。
