简介: 木偶片。有个画家去为劳动模范张宝田画像，在火车上他遇到一个大汉，画家在他面前夸奖张宝田，大汉却说张宝田没有什么了不起，画家批评大汉不虚心。他来到张宝田所在的生产大队后，才知道大汉原来就是张宝田，于是他准备为张宝田画像。可是过了好多天也没有画成，因为张宝田每天忙着干活和解决各种问题，后来又忙于支援兄弟队。画家亲眼目睹了张宝田的所作所为之后，认识到凭自己现在的思想感情画不出张宝田那种高尚的精神面貌，他决定长期和张宝田同吃同住同劳动。经过了三年的锻炼，才画出了张宝田的画像。
