简介: 本乡猛是城南大学的一名研究员，他拥有聪明的头脑，有着光明的未来。有一天，邪恶组织修卡的成员突然出现在了他的面前，并将他抓走，把他改造成了拥有蝗虫能力的蝗虫怪人。他沉迷于自己的力量，在暗中破坏着这个世界。但在一次行动中，他看见了自己曾经研究的雪花，从而清醒了过来，恢复了正常的神智。杂志记者绿川明日香与她的未婚夫矢野克彦一起去搜索关于怪人的情报，却在路上受到了怪人的攻击。修卡的怪人残忍地杀害了矢野克彦，明日香误以为这是本乡猛干的，因此非常憎恨本乡猛。在误会没有解开前，本乡猛一直以假面骑士的身份保护着明日香。修卡认定本乡猛是背叛组织的叛徒，便派新的改造人去袭击他。而那个改造人却与明日香死去的未婚夫长得很像……
